In less than two weeks (Aug 16th) I’m going to take a 90 day trip across country and back. I’ll be stopping at various places along the way visiting family and friends and I thought that this blog would be a great way to keep in touch with the people I meet, friends and family, and my mother! If you know her at all you know she is already freaking out as I type and I haven’t even left yet. It will also be a great way to check out new jobs and places to live.
The biggest issue is that I plan on taking my new girlfriend with me, and my mom hates her! Isabella (my new Kawasaki 650R) and I have been together for about a month now and 2500 miles into things we are having a blast. We’ve already been to Edison NJ; Dewey Beach, DE; Albany, NY and Syracuse, NY. She’s gone with me to a Lil Wayne Concert (he is a great performer), to my first Drive in Movie, and even Sky Diving (one of my defining moments).
Isabella and I will have at least one post up a week so please check it out and enjoy the ride. I will visit dozens of places, you may or may not have been and I’m trying to stay with as much friends and family as possible. So if you have any crazy relatives or friends who wouldn’t mind a house, dorm, RV, tent, or cave guest for a couple of days please let me know. I’m not going to hit most states but if you know of any places that you found truly interesting along your travels please let me know.
Feel free to comment however you feel, positive or negative it doesn’t matter just be respectful in how you present your views.
One Mile at a Time.
Hi Joe!
ReplyDeleteSo is it just you and Isabella? Do you have a chase vehicle in case she brakes down? How far across the country are you going? I understand that your Mom hates her. I ride with my boyfriend but hate the idea of my boys riding. They both plan on getting bikes. Eventually, I may get my own bike.
I have driven through almost all of the US so look forward to reading your blog.
