First Few Steps

When I first started this blog there were two weeks left until I was heading off, and now with only two days I’m ready to burst here. In the last twelve days the excitement has elevated with each sunrise, knowing each morning that I am just that much closer to setting out and fulfilling one of my dreams.

One thing that is interesting is deciding what to bring what to leave, what will fit and what has no chance. I knew I was going to have to pack light weight. After actually completing it I’m surprised that (1) I got everything in to the bag that I have, and (2) that packing light was an understatement. Light weight would have been the girls at the Alley on a Friday night (you would have had to go to Oneonta to understand that one) but this is interesting. The Idea here is that I have four days worth of clothes one I will be wearing and the other three in my bag.

  2. You have to go with On the Road, Jack Kerouc. Also, if you find Country Inn and Suites along the way, they have a book borrow program. You take the book at one, then return it at the next one. 99% of them don't care that you aren't staying there.
